Bargain Buys from Forever 21

If you follow my blog or have had a snoop through my archive you may of come across a post that was about a statement necklace which was only £2.99 in the sale on the Forever 21 website back in November. Of course I grabbed one, I also spotted a top with the lucky diamond on (and, yes, I did scream when I saw it) and also got a cute fluffy hair band. I thought I would make a post of what I thought of the items, so let's go...

Statement Necklace

So, first off, I will start with the necklace, for £2.99 reduced from £15.99 this is was an absolute steal but it does come with a negative... It stinks! You know that horrible cheapy tacky necklacey (let's add 'y' onto everything) kind of smell that lingers on your body after wearing it! Ergh! I love how well made it is and the fact it has so many findings but the smell has meant I have thrown it somewhere in my room and I have no intention of trying to find it. I was disappointed because it does look so stunning on, the white diamante really catches the light and it really is such a big statement piece.

Availability: Was clearance so now OOS.

Vest Top
The necklace paired with this top gives an almost glam grunge look which I love

Next was the lucky diamond vest top I nabbed in the sale for £4.99, I absolutely love this! It is made mainly of rayon and so it's a really stretchy slouchy kind of top and looks fab with a cardigan or leather jacket thrown over the top of it. I can certainly see this appearing on it's own with leggings in the summer and I mean just look at the lucky diamond symbol, ahh, I am in love

Availability: Was clearance so now OOS.

Hair Band

Finally, I bought a fluffy thick hair band, I have seen these around a lot lately and have heard/read/seen that they are very on trend at the moment. I have really long hair and am always putting it in a bun with just a plain black hair band so thought I would try this for a change. It stretches nicely around my bun two times which holds it in place really well. It was only £2 which I thought was a reasonable price seeing as it's well made and the material feels high quality

Availability: Couldn't find any on the Forever 21 website so has this trend passed?

Do you shop at Forever 21? If so, what kind of items do you buy?

Moany Mondays - Youtube Advert Fury

Waking up and browsing Youtube often results in the above

Since they were invented, I have hated adverts on Youtube videos with a passion and so I thought I would highlight my hatred towards them this week... Everyone hates Youtube adverts but what really drives me to insanity is people with less than 10,000 subscribers (the amount of subs you need to earn anything from using ads) who decide to monetize their videos. Just WHY?

'It looks professional'

No, it doesn't look professional at all. The fact that someone clearly haven't read that you need 10,000 subs or more to earn anything from monetizing their videos doesn't portray professionalism in any single way, shape or form. Even worse, if they have read it and have still decided to monetize their ads, damn, I haven't even got words for their stupidity.

'People will subscribe if I have ads'

If someone has monetized their videos having under 10,000 subs I will not subscribe even if I absolutely love their videos. In fact, I wouldn't love their videos because the fact I would have to sit through that agonizing 5 second wait before I can click 'Skip ad' would have me clicking that back button faster than you can say 'Stop'.

'Ads make my videos look so cool'

Nope. Youtube adverts are not cool in the slightest. It wouldn't be so bad if it was a different one every time but if you are browsing the same category of video you tend to get the same advert over and over again. I have even found myself learning the first 5 seconds of a particular ad as I browse through videos. Ergh.

'Ads will make people think I have been on Youtube for years and have tons of subscribers'

Maybe, until I look and see you have 10 subscribers. Why are you monetizing your ads with 10 subscribers and putting me through the longest 5 second wait again and then making me move to click skip ad? Too much effort! Goodbye!

If you have over 10,000 subscribers and have monetized your videos then that is perfectly fine with me. Making Youtube videos takes time, patience and effort and so if you have been successful enough to get so many subscribers why the hell not earn something back from all your hardwork. On the other hand, if you have under 10,000 subscribers please DO NOT monetize your videos. Please save me from having to watch the same advert for the 50th time and pulling my hair out!

Life Update: I'm Back!

As some of you may or may not know I suffer from a few health conditions, epilepsy being one of them, and I have had to take some time off away from the blog because of it. Now, I have literally tried so many times to post but nope, my mind has just wanted sleep sleep and more sleep in the past two weeks!
Although I am still tired and straining my eyes whilst writing this (my Mum would tell me off) I just had to give you all a little update and go into a bit more detail about what has been happening in the past two weeks for anyone who is interested!

So, for months on end I have been trying to find a solution with my Doctor to control some horrible symptoms I have been having. The main ones being a very weird head feeling of which comes out of the blue and I believed and still believe they are partial seizures (small seizures where you don't lose consciousness). The Doctor seemed to disagree and to cut a long story short sent me to see endless counsellors, tried to put me on tablets I didn't need and none of this was helping these 'partial seizures'.

The symptoms I was having were these 'partial seizures' which would start off with an echoing in my ear which would then make me feel extremely heavy. So heavy that I could not walk, I was petrified. I barely recognized my own house and I felt completely spaced out. I could barely lift anything and even a fork, for example, felt like 10 stone. These symptoms would only subside but after hours on end.

I explained to the Doctor about all this and she just said it was anxiety. No. Excuse me Doctor I know I have anxiety but this is something related to epilepsy, I can just tell! She wouldn't listen. This carried on for months until two weeks ago I spoke to her and demanded more anti epileptic medication. I knew in my own body the feelings I were having were to do with epilepsy. She agreed as to be honest, she had come to a complete stand still as to what to say to me anymore due to my ongoing symptoms.

So, I have been taking the extra medication for two weeks and guess what, I have had barely any heaviness, no partial seizures, I don't feel spacey and I actually feel 'normal' in the head. My Doctor rang to check how I was doing and was left speechless when I said I was doing good, after months of doing what she said and feeling worse than ever. I admit I do feel tired, dizzy, and a few other symptoms but that is due to the increase in medication and will hopefully subside.

I look back now and think I spent months of feeling absolutely horrific following the Doctors advice when the answer was in the form of an extra tablet which I suggested to her. It really shows you are the only one who knows your own body and it makes me sick to think I really had to fight and demand what I needed to make me better.

So, that's why I haven't been blogging and I have missed it greatly! I have also missed the whole blogger community and can't wait to get stuck back into mingling with everyone on Twitter!

I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has supported me through the past couple of weeks, it means the world!

Let the posts resume!
